Jennifer declared herself an artist in grade school and has never looked back. She graduated from University of Michigan School of Art and spent time studying at the Art Center College of Design in California, with a focus on illustration. Beautiful pictures to color! I want to work on coloring skin tones...Jennifer does amazing work in this book. I can't wait to get started!

Each illustration, on superior grade paper, is repeated again so you can experiment with various color schemes. The are printed single sided so no worries about bleed through to an image on the reverse side. There is a wonderful mix of portrait images with still life items such as a period style dressing table top, and jewelry. FYI the portraits are of The authors friends, lending a beautifully personal aspect to this creative work. This book is gorgeous! All the pictures are one sided and there are two copies of each so you can try different color pallets and ideas if you like. So many great pictures in here, couldn't be happier with my purchase. My 1st work in progress colored with prismacolor premieres is attached

This book has beautifully hand drawn artwork, great detail without being too difficult. The pages are single sided so you can use any medium you like. Each page has been printed a second time so you can colour 2 different ways if you wish. The art does not go into the spine so is easy to colour the entire page and room to remove if you wish the frame your work. The pages are not perforated but there is room to cut the pages out if you wanted. Great variety, with Jewells, fashion, hair, skin and more. Awesome book, love it. Arrived to Australia in great time, well packaged and reasonable shipping cost. Well worth it, it's a must have in my eyes. You won't be disappointed.

What a fun and creative book. I also just love the tutorials the artist/author does online. She really makes it easy to vision what I can actually do (myself) to make a beautiful creation. Using violet as an accent color in the face, who knew? Opens my eyes to creativity by looking at those around me.

I love this coloring book! The theme and design are completely original and different from any other adult coloring product out there. The designs are so beautifully drawn, but not overwhelming to color. And I love that the author included a second set so you can try a design a different way. Great product!

If I had to choose one word to describe this coloring book, I would say "elegant". The images feature fashionable women (some in vintage hats and clothing), gemstone jewelry such as brooches and pendants, and all are sheer elegance. The cover image is a very good representation of the type of images you will find in this book. The images are printed on one side only, which is also really nice. This is a beautiful coloring book!

I like the pictures of faces in this book and they make up the vast majority of the book. There are some pages with accessories to color, but very few. I’ve seen some beautiful versions online, and often they have been printed on better paper. The paper is not the greatest, but I think it will take plenty of layers with a light hand. Overall, I’m very glad with my purchase, but I can’t give a 5 Star review because of the paper.

I did purchase my own copy of this book from Amazon, the first copy sold infact!I can tell you first hand there is a lot of thought, hard work and love that went into the creation of thisbook and (in my opinion at least) it shines through in every section.Reading this book has been like a walk down memory lane for me. Even for the stories that where before Jessie and I met I can recallvividly the first time I ever heard these stories be it at birthday parties, Christmas or other family gatheringswhere her family shared their treasured tales from years past.I can also tell you first hand every recipe Jessie has is simply amazing, I believe this is a result of the love and passion she put's into everything she does. I previewed this cookbook online and then bought 3. One was for me. I like to cook and I have been looking for something to spur me back in the kitchen. This cookbook does that. For Christmas gifts, I bought one cookbook for my daughter and one for my granddaughter. I thought it would be such fun for the 3 generations of Southern style cooks to enjoy the recipes of 3 generations of a New England family. It is everything I love about a cookbook. It's beautifully photographed. In fact, I am so inspired by the pictures, I want to try every recipe. The recipes don't require a trip to the store to buy many items you've never heard of. They are straight forward and contain just the right amount of ingredients to make it fun. Since I bought these books around Christmas time, I haven't the time at home to try out the recipes. I have, however, been privileged to taste the author's sweet pickles, peach jam and fried apple pies. And the were WONDERFUL!!!

I love a cookbook that I can read, relax, and enjoy, oh and get inspired to cook of course! Jessica Robinson has done all this and more plus set a high bar for cookbooks with New England Farmgirl. The recipes are classic, simple, yet scrumptious! She shares family favorites, and seasonal recipes that use the best local, natural, and organic foods of New England. The cookbook shares great sources of local artisinal ingredients, markets, shops, and sources that offer the the best quality food products in the region. Recipes I am most excited to try are the Sweet Summer Lobster Rolls, Whoopie Pies, and the New England Clam Chowder. Yum! G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S photography all throught the book, tells the stories of the recipes, ingredients, and people that have influenced Jessica's cooking. This book is a jewel box of surprises, there is a section on Christmas tree farms and Backyard Entertaining recipe ideas...love, love, love it!! I am so hungry after looking in her cookbook.... : D

So happy I bought this cookbook! It has so many wonderful recipes. I've made a few recipes all wonderful with amazing flavor. Another plus is everything I've made has been husband and kid approved! The next thing I am going to try are gramma's cream puffs. They are my favorite and I hope they come out as good as the picture looks! You will not regret buying this book. The story's and pictures are amazing too!

I made the baked beans and there wasn't a bean left. Today I made two of the chocolate pies and everyone has given rave reviews on them. On the chocolate pies I did add 1tsp. of vanilla. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Wonderful cookbook with great insight as to where to get your produce in different areas.

So glad I bought this book! It’s beautifully photographed and offers a great introduction to New England cooking and culture. The author’s tone is down to earth and friendly and as I read it, I can imagine that I’m on a personal tour of New England, visiting country stores with wide planked wooden floors, farmers markets, and Christmas Tree farms.Recipes are simple to follow and delicious. I especially love the recipes that feature maple sugar and maple syrup. I ended up buying some maple sugar to use in these recipes and have used it to make maple bacon and maple cinnamon buns. Both have been a hit with my kids! Looking forward to trying more recipes, starting with chocolate-drizzled caramel popcorn and lemon zest cake.

There is something that I always equate with New England…authenticity. New Englander’s are not a fake bunch. Jessica Robinson exemplifies this trait in her New England Farmgirl cookbook. She walks her talk and has grown up working on a farm and raised in a family where “farm to table” wasn’t a buzz phrase. I am drawn to the timeless traditions and comforting recipes. The recipes are both simple and rich. The accompanying photo’s are visually gorgeous, styled beautifully, and a lovely travelogue tribute to rural New England. Jessica’s recommendations of farms, vineyards, and special places will be on my travel checklist and I look forward to a fabulous bottle of wine, and some local cheeses from her favorite places. In the early 1960s, Pontiac was remaking its image and needed a bold, sporty, and exciting new model to attract young buyers. Under the guidance of Pete Estes and John DeLorean, the engineers at Pontiac decided to stuff a 389-ci V-8 into the intermediate-sized Tempest to create the GTO. The GTO produced immense performance and quickly became a sensation. Pontiac had a high-performance street car that could light up its tires and outperform the vast majority of the cars on the road. As a result, the GTO served as blueprint for a generation of muscle cars to come. The GTO set the standard for muscle car performance that the other manufacturers chased, and this legendary car steadily evolved and improved during its production run. The 1964 GTO offered a unique performance package over and above the Tempest. An optional 389 Tri-Power and stout 4-speed with dual exhaust delivered massive performance while a stiffer suspension, limited-slip differential, and heavy-duty cooling system kept the car under control. By 1967, the Pontiac GTO was arguably one of most attractive models ever, with a wide range of engines and high-performance hardware. This is an excellent resource for those interested in the early models of the Pontiac GTO. The book is logically arranged with a general introduction followed by chapters dedicated to the individual model years. The photographs add to and illustrate the details and features discussed in the text although the captions tend to reiterate information already presented. The sidebars provide excellent asides from the fact laden main text and discuss such topics as Arnie Beswick and Royal Pontiac. Tables at the end of the book provide an instant summary of each model year. Interestingly there is a good deal of discussion about how Pontiac promoted and advertised these early cars. A fine resource for the fan of these iconic muscle cars.

I have two kids almost adopted from foster care. I like that this book shows dogs instead of people so you don't have race issues which can become complicated. I love that it talks about some common feelings that adopted kids might have- make those feelings sound OK- and talks about how to deal with those feelings. I like how it emphasizes how we are a family even if not all the kids were born from me. I also like that it isn't a romanticized version of adoption where the birth mom picks out the new family. That isn't the story for all adoptive families. The adoption "back story" is vague enough to fit a lot of situations making foster to adoption kids feel like nothing is wrong with their story but detailed enough to be reassuring about how the adoptive family didn't steal the kid from the birth family or that the birth family didn't love them. Overall I think it is perfect for our situation.

We are a transracially adoptive family, and it is very difficult to find a book about adoption that reflects the differences between the adoptive parents and child (as well as the similarities). Because the characters in this book are dogs, it can work for any family. It's PERFECT for our family, because it addresses what we believe are very important aspects of the adoption triad: it respects the birth parents and shows their sadness regarding the adoption plan (this is affirming of the love our children's first parents have for them), it talks about the differences and similarities between adoptive parents/children, and it brings up questions that other children might ask the adopted child ("are they your "real" parents?") and how to address it. Of all the adoption books we own, my boys love this one the most. The author's approach is very gentle, positive and affirming. My boys are presently 3 and 6, and this book is perfect for their ages.

My son really loves this book. He is four years old and, although he came to us at birth and we are the only parents he has ever known, he was adopted through the foster care system. It is very difficult to find appropriate books (he didn't cross an ocean and his parents didn't give him up out of love for him) that explain his adoption but I love how open and honest this one is. Rosie is open about her feelings and even expresses that she sometimes gets angry with her adopted parents for taking her away from her birth parents. As a mother who has always been extremely open and honest with her son about his adoption I find this book very refreshing. I think we will be able to use it for years to come.

My kids are adopted from foster care (ages 4 and 5). This book does a great job explaining some questions others may have about adoption, or that they may have when they get older. My kids look like my husband and I, so they didn't really relate to the "looking different" parts, but it was very helpful in explaining that "love is what makes a family"

A sweet book that my 7-year-old niece and her Mommy enjoyed. I don't know if she'll go back to it (thus only 4 stars) but it does a good job of representing some of the feelings & questions that I know she's had. Unlike some of the other books she has on the subject, my niece actually seemed less impressed with the story than her mom (possibly because she prefers to think of dogs as pets instead of representations of herself) but said she liked it & enjoyed reading it. I've leafed through the book a couple of times and thought it was a good introductory-level story for adoptees beginning to deal with questions of family identity.

Rosie's Family is a great book for approaching the often complex nature of adoption, helping to open a dialogue between parents and children through this story of a family of schnauzers who adopt a dog who is quite clearly not a schnauzer. My son is 4 years old and we've found this book useful in talking with him about what adoption means - a pretty difficult concept for a kid his age. The book directly answers questions children may have and offers ways in which they can cope with other people's questions and insensitivities. I can envisage using this book in the coming years to help us to keep talking about his adoption, so it's not just for preschoolers. I think it's a good buy and would recommend it to others.

This is the perfect book for our son. It talks through transracial adoption, addresses birth parent history, and honestly and openly walks through the questions adoptees have. My son is too little to understand things yet, but we already read it, so as he gets old enough to understand it, it will already be there. Such a great story!

This is a new favorite of my three year old, who I adopted. It has great questions and good for international adoption too. I like the two pages of showing how different families are born, by adoption and by birth with great illustration at an age-appropriate level. It opens up a lot of room for discussion with a little one. The story includes the element that the child looks different from the rest of the family and that doesn't apply to our family, but a great story nonetheless to open up for discussion/questions from a child.

This book is a very sweet and informative story about a 2 year old with a G tube. It is perfect for parents of children with feeding tubes to read to their children. My son had a big grin on his face when we read it together. It is also informative of some of the struggles a Tubie baby faces as well as some of the care involved in protecting the Mic-key button. It also serves as a reminder that children with G tubes can still have normalcy in their lives and participate in everyday childhood activities. This book was published in a timely manner for our family. I'm so thankful we have it to share with our son!

It will be going to the hospital with him along with his tubey bear. The author so simply explains her son’s life that I see my grandson in the pictures from the NG tube to talking about therapists and not knowing the cause of the problem. This book is a must for families facing tube feedings.

Wow! Talk about an absolute joy. Man, Normandie brings it when she comes, and she comes out swinging. There is nothing held back or cut short that feels it was in anyway rushed. She packs a punch and leaves you wanting more. She brings every emotion you have front and center in a whirlwind that draws you in so deeply, your only focus is on the tale playing out before you. You're kept on a razors edge, barely breathing hanging on tightly throughout. She lays out one amazing storyline and smoking plot that brings this bad boy roaring to life flawlessly. The chemistry between the two main characters is hot, palpable and sizzling. The characters are complex with such depth and individuality it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphically descriptive and detailed you have no trouble picturing each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Normandie totally rocked this little gem with such on point realism you can't help but fall in love with the characters. Remarkable job Normandie, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advanced Reader Copy of this story.

The next sibling in the Barnes family series get his story, one of the twins, Leo, who happens to get himself in a situation that has him marrying a princess to save face. Honore is a sheltered young woman and the first time she sneaks out on her security detail, she gets caught and ends walking down the aisle to marry a pop star. The contract is for three months that his mother, Lucinda, conjured up, once that was up then they can get a divorce and he is free of his monster of a mother. Three months for the two of them to get to know each other and find that yes they are really attracted to each other and falling deep for the other...what happens when the three months is up.A great read with steamy and sensual scenes and I loved these two, especially Honore. She took everything in stride and was more mature and put togther than many others and I loved how she didn’t badger, or get upset with Leo at any time. I also liked Leo and what he has been through with his mother, I felt bad for him, but liked how he stood up to her. Only thing missing for me was the evil monster Lucinda getting a taste of her own medicine and I’m hoping that the last sibling Ivy, gets her story with a dose of taking down Lucinda and having her on her knees with no one by her side, falling from grace and no family to support her. I would have used the secret, threatening to expose it to keep her in place and picturing her as the wh*** of a woman she is. I also would have liked an epilogue on these two togther in the future and to know if the evil woman comes after Leo.*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*

This is Book 4 of the Barnes Family Series by this author and can be read as a standalone. It is a heartwarming romance between rockstar Leo and Princess Honore. What starts out as a fake marriage turns into something real. Their sizzling chemistry and strong connection are undeniable as they navigate the bumpy road to their forever after. These two likeable characters and the unconventional plot make for an enjoyable read. Quite well written and sexy, it is a sweet love story with drama, humor, passion, and love, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Leo is enjoying his slight break from touring with his sister. However, one night changes his life. Honore is royalty and only child. She decides that she needs one wild night, a night to be normal, not royal. That one night gives Lucinda, Leo's very controlling and manipulative mom, power over his life for the next couple of months. Honore's parents agree to a marriage for a short length of time and then a divorce. Leo goes along with the plan just to get out of Lucinda's control. This will be an easy couple of months, right? But nothing goes as planned and Leo and Honore find themselves becoming very close and love finds them. There are forces and family secrets working against them which makes their time together so much more precious.I love the Barnes family. Each sibling is so different, but they have a deep bond. Granted, I would like to take Lucinda and shake some sense into her, but her kids are slowly doing that. Leo finds his path and strength to stand up against her. Honore finds her path and realizes that she will not have to be the ruler of her county for years and has the freedom to become the woman she wants to be. The chemistry between Honore and Leo is explosive, but there is also a sweetness to their story.I received an ARC for a fair and honest review.

Leo is a rockstar having a concert. Honore’ is a princess and dressed as a groupie to go to the concert and after party. Leo and her get caught by her bodyguard in a compromising position and when her father the King finds out he demands they get married to protect her name and family reputation. His family is reality TV royalty and his mother says that after they marry they should have cameras follow on their honeymoon and then quietly divorce. But after they marry and are on their honeymoon they start to get to know each other and feeling change. Will there marriage become real for longer?
