Lots of typos, statements of fact phrased as questions. Just not well proofread and/or edited. Lots of content from February 2018 70-347 exam not even remotely addressed in this book.I know this industry is a moving target, but this ebook was outdated and incomplete before it was even released.

Been through this book and the one before it (70-346), and going to take the 347 exam as soon as I complete the 346 exam. I studied both books one after together so I could get everything as a complete package, and because I actually manage a hybrid ex2010 / o365 environment so the info comes in handy. This book will provide you with a excellent foundation for the exam. The information in the book is laid out in a nice logical manner with plenty of screen shots. The author does a good job of explaining the material in a easy way. You should not have a problem following the book.That being said, before you take the exam you should have some hands on experience to help with the concepts and I always recommend some additional exam prep like exam practice exams to ensure that you have everything down. Write down and really know your powershell commands.

I used this book in pursuit of my MCSA: Office 365. I had previously used the same series for the 70-346 and successfully passed that. The book is great, but I read it twice . I watched The Ignite videos on the topic and watched through the Platform Scholar series as well. I also work in Exchange Online and with other O365 services everyday. It took me two attempts to pass. This is a very difficult exam due to the breadth of the topics covered. the book is good and brings up many of the powershell cmdlets you will need to learn and know their purpose. This book was a big part of me passing, but this alone will not be enough in my opinion. I do recommend it as part of your exam prep materials along with a practice test like those offered on Measure Up.

While it does has a lot of information there are some glaring errors in the information (one example that comes to mind is in one of the questions at the end of the section. Two answers are the same word for word but only one of them is correct according to the book) and in the presentation (sentences just end without making any sense). Not to mention the test has recently changed so this book is out of date (hard to keep a book about cloud technology in date really).If the book gets updated I would then give it 4 stars as I would hope the errors would also be corrected.

old references material. Useless. Waste of money. The Cloud is ever changing. Don't buy. Just Lab it out and Technet.

It is a very basic book and if you are experienced o365 customer it is not going to help . . As there is no reference book not avilable , i have bought for reference but i have to relay on Online rather than this book .

I enjoyed this one, and not much to pick apart, except the overuse of Sardonic - I like the word, but seeing it in print too many times, it sticks out.The thing that I enjoy the most I believe from this series so far is that Karrde is the rogue character that Han Solo was BEFORE *A New Hope* - Lando and Han become more of ex-rogues, which is not as much fun - legitimate thieves and all - Karrde is still a thief, and he plays both sides well to his advantage - and I enjoy that.I wish that I did not know who Mara Jade was before reading this - that coming surprise is ruined, but the actions and dialog between her and Luke are still enjoyable, and this is a series that I can finally be happy to have started, and now I am on my way to finishing.This would be a great arena for the new Star Wars films, but I know that everything in print now is non-canon; so we will have to wait and see what the future holds. But for now, I am enjoying the series.

I liked Heir to the Empire, but this one was even better. Timothy Zahn nailed it here with my favorite ending in the series.I started reading these again after 20 years because I have been so disappointed in the Disney sequel trilogy. There is definitely stuff that doesn't jive with the prequel trilogy released a few years after these books were released, but it's pretty easy to correct "Dark Jedi" with "a secret Sith apprentice" in your mind as you read.This was the Star Wars trilogy they should have made into film and I wish Zahn would revisit this series and correct some verbage to make it match the prequel terminology a bit. I'd totally buy these again if he did.

I have been a fan of Timothy Zahn since I read Thrawn Trilogy in the 90s. Ive decided to read it again. Like the first book, Zahn did a good job in writing the story. Each chapter has a climax and a goo plot to it. In each page, Zahn puts in a lot of detail in the story. And briefly describes each character, and has specific scenes for each character. It a work of art. It doesn't stop there.

The second of Timothy's Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy picks up almost immediately after the Empire's thwarted attack at the Sluis Van Shipyards but immediately launches the characters back into action. With the New Republic maintaining its tenuous position as the new major government in the galaxy, the Empire is still pushing to regain it's former position. Timothy Zahn brings an action-packed novel that has a mix of cannon and original characters that are so strongly written they feel like real people.

Reading this book genuinely captures the feeling of the Original movies. You feel like your watching a movie even though your reading a book. A page turner in every way!

Years after the original Star Wars Trilogy movies it was fun to revisit these three characters. Obviously, I could not help but to see the actors faces while reading this story. Timothy Zahn captured the screen essence of each of them so incredibly well and Thrawn may be the most brilliantly evil character ever introduced. I waited this long to read this trilogy simply because I did not want to be disappointed but the most disappointing thing was missing the opportunity to check in on them until so many years later. Whether the original films were seen in the theater (as I did) or seen on DVD or BluRay years later (as I have) this series continues the legacy and is well worth the investment. May the Force be with us all.

This book picks up after Heir to the Empire and follows the exploits of Luke, Leia, Chewie, and Han as they attempt to rebuild the Republic after the questionable defeat of the Empire at the battle of Endor. We follow the storylines of our main characters as they are harassed by political infighting and a brilliant tactician from the remenants of the Empire, Grand Admiral Thrawn.It's an awesome read that shows a lot of additional character development (especially for Leia and Han, something that was lacking in the Luke-centric movie trilogy) and answers many of the questions of what happens after the defeat of the Emperor.

In the first audio book, "Heir to the Empire", the story was read by Denis Lawson (Wedge Antilles), who did a credible job. With Anthony Daniels (C3PO) things have improved considerably. Daniels has a much better reading voice. He has great voice characterizations allowing the reader to easily keep the many characters straight. Once again the special effects are excellent (blaster fire, star ship engines, etc.). The audio is crisp and clear in a car environment. Timothy Zahn continues the story of the fledgling New Republic. Admiral Thrawn (of the Empire) is the last surviving Grand Admiral, and his plans to bring down the New Republic are slowly culminating. In addition to that threat the NR has also to deal with a new Dark Jedi. Zahn does a great job with the old "wheel within a wheel" type story. There are several (but not too many) threads running through the book that make it very entertaining and keep you longing for more. Well worth the purchase price (I can't add anything more to the publisher's review). Run time: 180 minutes.

I am loving this series. The second book is excellent. The author has captured the essence of each character perfectly. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I recommend this series to all Star Wars fans.

I was debating whether or not to make this purchase because it received mixed reviews. As a pet parent, and not a professional, I didn't know if I could benefit from it. On the contrary, it was very informative and beneficial to me, who recently experienced a traumatic loss of a pet. My loss wasn't a 'death' loss; it was a very complicated custody battle. This was the only book I could find that addressed types of losses other than death. The information was objective and was presented in such a way that I felt I was speaking to my therapist and not to a friend or family member. Sometimes, getting the "reality" of what's happened from an objective perspective is more helpful than hearing your friend's point of view, which is often emotionally generated. I would recommend this book to someone who's recently experienced a terrible loss. For me, however, I wasn't able to read the book until after a few weeks had passed after the traumatic experience. My grief was too unbearable in the beginning to address the reality.

Nothing new.

First, this book is expensive. It is paperback and very brief. The Amazon blurb gives the impression it is scholarly; and that's the worst thing about it, because it is trite beyond belief.It's merely a collection of truisms about pet loss that the most unlearned child would be able to express, and the unimpassioned quality of the writing makes it very difficult to believe the author (or authors; I'm still not clear how many people were involved in the work) were pioneers in their area in the field of pet grief counseling.I returned the book and asked for my money back, and I haven't done that with another book from Amazon.

About the Author

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Eddie Landsberg began classical piano training at the age of 5, starting his Jazz Studies at Settlement Music School in his teens. Switching to Hammond Organ, he received his first organ lesson from the legendary Shirley Scott and studied composition and performance with Big John Patton, with additional guidance from Austin Mitchell (an early Jazz organist who was a favorite accompanist of Ella Fitzgerald.) Eddie holds a B.A. in Music from Thomas Edison State University and has done Graduate work at Rutgers University. After recording several CDs which received national radio play in the U.S and serving as a studio demonstrator for the Nord Electro organ, he moved to Japan where he spent almost 20 years teaching, leading bandstands and doing studio work. He returned to the U.S. in 2017.

Like the Author my son holds a BA in Jazz performance guitar and he too spent time in Japan so when I asked him which book ( this one or Blake Neely's) would benefit me more he said hands down this book is the better of the two. The teaching style is easier to grasp and the method modern and well thought out. He could not be more spot on. As a 60 year old amateur musician I found the concepts in Mr. Landsbergs' book easy to follow and better yet easy to retain. So thrilled! I can praise this book enough and I look forward to book 2 as soon as it comes out for the kindle. Now I really enjoy my fake books. I learned so much from this book I feel confidant to start composing.Thank you Eddie!

My 12 year old boy read this book over the summer as part of required summer reading. He loved the book, and found it enjoyable and inspirational. Now, months later, he still occasionally brings it up when he's dealing with issues that involve perseverance or challenge. It's a book I'm glad he read.

This is a great book! I am 70 years old and bought it for my grandson. Decided to read it first and soglad I did. What an amazing young man and hats off to his parents for doing a great job! Really liked the format of the book where it just told the story of each summit and not a lot of extra fluff to ruin this wonderful story. Thank you Jordan. I will be talking about this book for a long time.

This is an incredible story about a young man who was inspired to pursue a truly phenomenal dream. All the pieces were in place: Growing up in Big Bear, California, where he could train year-round; a medically trained father who pursued endurance races around the world; a step mom with the training, skills and background to be the logistical backbone for their "Team"; a mom who nurtured and supported her son even though she was very much aware of the dangers his pursuit would bring; and finally a community of supporters that truly put his goals within reach."No Summit Out of Sight" is as entertaining as it is inspirational and I plan to have all three of my own children read it as well. Written in an easy-going style but with sufficient detail to help the reader feel like they are actually there, this book will be an enjoyable read for pre-teens and up. I believe this book will help children and adults alike to "Find your Everest"

Having trekked in Nepal, I was hooked on this book about a young, but determined, boy who set a big goal-to hike all 7 summits. Geared for young adults, it's still a wonderful read for adults too. Amazing what Jordan Romero accomplished and fascinating to get his perspective on the difficult climbs and training routines.

This is a wonderful book about a uniquely special young man. He came to my school with intelligence and character. He always walked his own walk and when he saw the mural at Lucerne Valley Elementary school his dream became a goal. This book is an easy read for young people and adults. It flows so well and keeps you reading eagerly to find out what will happen next. Each summit has its own lure and Jordan and Ms. Le Blanc tell the story well.I remember reading a book in 4th grade as well as another reviewer stated that made me want to take an adventure like the boy in the story. Every school child, and school library should have a copy of this book.

My 12 year-old son has to read non-fiction for his AR program at middle school. He usually groans and complains about his non-fiction books, but he loved this one! Told in the voice of a teen, it read like an adventure novel. And it inspired my son to start working toward his own goals.

From the first page, I was captivated by young Jordan Romero's adventures as he reached the tallest places on earth. Gripping, often funny details of a family's treks around the world. I was truly inspired by Jordan's focus on setting -- and attaining -- goals that were often treacherous. I also enjoyed seeing how family members supported one another in the face of daunting physical and emotional challenges. This is truly a strong story about pursuing one's dreams despite great odds. Wonderful true story of a young man and his dreams. Jordon's dream developed another layer to his character, and made him aware that many, many people around the world live a far different life than the average American. A good read for young teens and adults alike. Well written in first person. I am anxious to start reading another book by Linda LaBlanc, 'Four Teens Challenge Everest'. While this next one is fiction, the subject matter is similar. Well done Linda LaBlanc!!
