These are nice cards and will be useful when teaching children in Sunday School. I was planning to make my own and was pleased to find this set nicely priced.

My 1st & 2nd Graders were so hungry for learning the Books of the BIBLE and the Breakdowns! These are great flash cards and the kids learn quickly! They know that the B.I.B.L.E is there Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth! Thank you for making my teaching easier!

I had to return this product because it came with an extra card, but it was also missing a card. I also thought the name used for Song of Solomon would be confusing for preschoolers.

We Love Kumon Math Books and have purchased many of them. This one is the first disappointment thou. Our son is in the middle of third grade so we though to get him little bit ahead with fractions. To our surprise ALL fractions examples in this book have a same DENOMINATOR. This means that instead of 4 grade fractions problems you have simply a 1st grade simple math such as 1+3, or 5-1 etc.... We don't understand why in 4th grade fractions book there are not examples with different denominators as this is the real challenge for students. If this would be the book for 2nd graders to introduce them to fractions I would understand, but for the 4th Grade this book doesn't present any challenge.

This book is good for kids whom never worked with decimals or fractions before. I had to skip over way too many lessons to challenge him even remotely. I am now on the hunt for another fractions because the section he really needed help on wasn’t enough.

Love this product! Review pages at the beginning and then tons of problems for kids to work on their skills

I homeschool and use these books as a main curriculum and then add DVDs and fun projects. I also print free worksheets off the internet to go with the lesson. Love them!!

I really like this textbook. I used it for one of my Summer tutoring clients whom needed to go at slower pace and, needed a stronger decimal and fraction foundation to build on for the next year. It begins really basic and builds slowly. This book isn't for children who are on the average or above average curve as they will grow bored as it will be too repetitive for them. I recommend this book as a supplement for a child struggling in this area at a one lesson a day pace then move on to Kumon Grade 5 Decimals & Fractions after completing.

This is just what I needed for tutoring. I hoped it had more lessons in it though. Showing examples. Children need to be shown what to do before doing it for better understanding.

About the Author

Written while Jeremy Brett was still alive in 1993, this book not only gives great insight into the Granada TV Sherlock Holmes, but goes back to touch upon all the major productions of Sherlock Holmes. Conan Doyle himself saw several of the early productions!I bought the book because I loved the Granada TV production and was fortunate to watch them when they first aired on PBS in America. I still recall watching "A Scandal In Bohemia" and being mesmerized by the production quality and acting, not to mention the fidelity to the original story which I had read just a couple years earlier. I wanted to read more about how the series was made, and the author has done a good job of giving the reader some interesting behind the scenes stories. The still photos in the book are superb.Unfortunately, Jeremy Brett would never recover from his illness and we are left with books and memoirs, no more shows.

I recently purchased the latest revised edition of this book and I am in love with it! Many beautiful photos and information about each show and movies. The quotations from Brett, Hardwicke and the many others involved with this show are priceless. It somewhat downplays Brett's health issues BUT it is still a concise book. (However, I did find the line from Brett about wanting to film the rest of the stories "over the next 10 years" heartbreaking as that was a quotation from him a year or two before he passed.)In my mind Jeremy Brett IS Sherlock Holmes and I don't know if anyone will ever be able to hold a candle to his portrayal. The same with Edward Hardwicke. (Sorry to say, but his Watson had more soul than David Burke's.) It is unfortunate that the today's youth is being introduced to Holmes through the meaningless drivel of today's movies (think Downey, Jr!) and television shows.Long live Sherlock Holmes!

This is a marvelous behind the scenes look at the Granada Sherlock Holmes series that ran from 1984-1994 starring the iconic Jeremy Brett as Holmes. Beautiful photos and informative stories about the actors, episodes, sets, locations, etc are all here in a very easy to read format. The ONLY drawback is that the book was released in 1986 and therefore covers only the first three series (20 episodes). After the publication of this book Granada made another 21 episodes which unfortunately are not covered here. HOWEVER, there is plenty to love and admire in this excellent celebration of Granada's amazing series and is a must for Holmes fans.

If you want to know what a wonderful deal this book is, just check out the price on all things Jeremy Brett! The English seem to fancy the idea of a few people having an item worth thousands of dollars while denying the merchandising of such products so hoards of others can have it at a reasonable cost. Don't ask me to explain why they do this...but I do keep encountering it.Inside this book are ample pictures of Jeremy Brett from the series "Sherlock Holmes". They are very well done, and sure to please. There's a lot of inside details and information, enough to interest any fan. If you're into the Jeremy Brett version of Sherlock Holmes, you'll be quite pleased to own this book, as I am!

Wonderful book filled with color and black and white photos and information. We ordered the hardback and it is truly a treasure to us, being fans of the late Jeremy Brett and Sherlock Holmes.

I have bought this book because a friend recommended it to me (she knows I like Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories as well as the Granada TV series with Jeremy Brett). I have rarely enjoyed a book as much as I enjoyed this one...and for me, that is saying a lot.It is a wonderful oversized book which includes not only many on the set and behind the scenes photographs of the Granada series in the making (the one which particularly amused me was the photo titled "How Holmes and Watson are _really_ taken for a ride"). But the book contains much more than that--it also contains fascinating insight into the Granada series, including interviews with David Burke, Edward Hardwicke, and Jeremy Brett, and others involved in the making of the series.Additionally, the book offers many photos and intriguing bits of information about other actors who played Sherlock Holmes and about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle himself. As an avid collector of mourning jewelry, I was excited to find a book on this obscure topic. I was not disappointed, but I also was not thrilled. The book - though well written - is extremely brief. I read it in its entirety in less than an evening. The photos were nice, but did not contain some of the more exceptional examples of this style of jewelry. If you have been collecting mourning jewelry for a long time, you probably know most of what is in the book already. It is more of an "introduction" to the subject. However, for the reasonable price, I would say it is a must have addition to an mourning jewelry collection, as it is one of the few books written on the subject. It is a lovely little book, but certainly not an exhaustive treatment of the subject matter.

This is a GORGEOUS full-color book with amazingly detailed photos. A great history of mourning/sentimental pieces. This little book could go head-to-head with any of the larger volumes and win hands down. The author of this book clearly loves this beautiful jewelry and this book proves it. I would gladly have paid triple the price for this book and still felt it was well worth the cost.

This book came in perfect condition and I really enjoyed looking through it. I make sentimental jewelry for the modern day and this will be a nice touch to keep at my booth!

When I first saw the reviews I was expecting a large hard bound book of at leat 100 pages. It was a small paperback book. I was hoping to have more indept text and greater diversity of items in the morning jewlery catagory. Not a bad book and does have nice pictures. I was just looking for more information than was provided and larger pictures.
