This book is wonderful. I'm a huge fan of the Alien series and it gives a nice vignette into the forgotten hero of the first two movies. It is well drawn, very cat centric, and not scary at all. My kids are younger and have wondered about the origins of our Jonesy's name and, without scaring the bejesus out of them, this book was perfect, especially with Jonesy's cat reactions to events in the movie.Great for Alien, cat, and/or sci-fi fans! Well done Rory Lucy!!

Do you like cats? Do you like adorable art? Do you like the Alien franchise? This is for you! The book works best as a companion to the movie--you have to know the plot to get many of the scenes. It's clear the artist knows cats, because the cat behaviors by our hero are spot on.

I love this book. There's no dialogue at all, just a wonderful, purely visual story. What was in the background in the movie is suddenly in the foreground, and vice versa. I love Jonesy's epic leaps, his expressive face, his confidence (both on his own and around others), his preoccupation with the simple comforts in life, and his occasional vomiting.I got this book for myself, and at 80 pages it's a good read both for kids, cat owners, and fans of Alien.

Jonesy view of what happened on the Nostromo. A Cats tale of terror and horror for humans that is every day life for a cat.

He loved it, seems to follow the story of Aliens only through what you would visualize Jonesy is doing while others are dying. Pretty cute book, and as an Aliens fan, my brother seems to enjoy it. He named his orange tabby after this cat, after all.

After first use, reading a couple chapters binding competent came apart and pages are falling out!

The best book on the description of everything research.

Best book I have read explaining research. Not to complicated - but very thorough

It’s says good condition but the book was in poor condition. The index section fell right out of the book when it was opened. The stitching came off and the cover is coming off as well.

Required book for doctoral program. I would not opt for this book voluntarily, it is very dense in its layout.

Great, thorough research book. However, some topics are complicated and difficult to follow! Great examples in the appendices!

It worked great and met expectations.

I believed I was receiving the third edition, as that is what is pictured. However it arrived and was the second edition, published 15 years prior to what I was wanting. Disappointing!

I had long been delaying writing a review for this edition, because it is virtually identical to the previous one so almost nothing new can be said about it.It contains very little new information, and info already out of date in the previous edition has simply been reprinted here (so the book will send you to try and visit museums that have been closed for 5-6 years!).So instead of writing it up anew, I decided to simply quote here my review of the previous edition, it's all still valid!"I had for editions given Lonely Planet's Indonesia guide 4 stars despite all its errors and shortcomings just because it remained the only practical guide covering the whole country, but this new edition is so much poorer than the previous one that it no longer deserves the same rating.For a start, it suffers from the same shortcomings plaguing all new LP editions: far fewer accommodation options which are no longer listed ordered by price, maps less detailed, color pages on poorer quality paper, etc.But the major step back is that content has been cut back seriously. This edition is 100 pages shorter than the previous one, and it shows. Entire islands and even archipelagos have vanished from the book, especially in the Maluku region, but also in Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi and Sumatra. Very little in the way of new destinations has been added to compensate for those losses. Editing has also changed in a curious way: The regions themselves, once listed in a logical largely west-to-east order are now listed in a completely random order, with the furthest and least visited region of Papua now in the middle of the book, before the much more visited and accessible western and central regions of Sumatra and Sulawesi. Oh, and it's full of badly misspellt Indonesian place names, too.After all these complaints, do I have anything good to say?Well, if this will be your first trip to the country, and you are happy to visit only the more touristy areas, you will probably find that this book still gives enough information for you - and definitely more than any other guide to the country. It does still cover all the popular places first-timers are likely to want to go to, and it does still give actual (though changing!) prices for accommodation and transport.But if you are a regular visitor to Indonesia and already have the previous edition(s), no need to get this new one."

Per usual, lonely planet helped us find incredible places in off the beaten path areas where there were not many tourists. If you are going to Indonesia, I highly recommend allowing this book to guide you!
