Wow! The book gets better and better the farther you get into it. Lots of spiritual nuggets to ponder. It's honestly hard to read more than a few paragraphs without having to let Chamber's insights sink in. If you love depth of study and having the truth of God's Word smack you upside the head, you'll want to read it as well.

This book was and is exactly what I needed when trying to comprehend the senseless suffering I was enduring. It is short, potent, and filled with wisdom. This is the book I recommend to anyone going through excruciatingly difficult trials. It is a salve to the soul, truly.

The saga of Job when expounded by a wartime chaplain is real rubber, meeting a real road. A commentary with a heart. I have finished reading; however, I am going to read in again. The attack by Satan, the wife of Job and 3 'friends' with an agenda and explained with a scholar's pen and a pastor's heart.

This book has impacted my life in a tremendous way. It is insigntful and straight to the point. This is one of the few books I purchase to give away to others. It is a treasure field worth gleaning many times over.

This is a story about what goes on in the testing of pharmaceuticals prior to their approval for use and what the process of marketing new drugs is. It is disturbing. One of the factors in the high cost of health care is the cost of medications and one of factors that contributes to the high cost of drugs is marketing, particularly direct-to-consumer marketing. This book describes the shortcuts drug companies take in testing the products to determine safety and the techniques they use to persuade physicians to prescribe their products. The information in the book is scandalous. Every time I ass an ad on TV that includes the phrase "ask your doctor about..." I think about this book and the seedy practices of drug companies and their enormous profits. A little known fact: when Congress passed Part D of Medicare, the prescription drug benefit, they agreed not to negotiate lower drug prices, which was a huge bonus to drug companies. Given the purchasing power of the Medicare program, it was in the position to bargain for lower costs of prescription drugs for Medicare beneficiaries and Congress didn't do it. One of the Congressmen who was the chief architect of the Part D legislation left congress and became a lobbyist for the pharmaceutical industry.

As a physician who's spent half my life in clinical practice and half as a physician executive in biotech, I laud the author's thorough preparation for writing this book. It is clear a lot of energy has gone into the research for the piece and it far similar treatises that deal only with anecdote and superficiality. Encyclopedic in its information, it provides the reader with an excellent overview of the topic. It is so thorough it is almost textbook in scope yet the author writes with a clear and straightforward style that makes is enjoyable for virtually anyone interested in the topic.

I require all my residents and medical students read this book. Understanding every level of what goes into research and the potential bias it produces is so important. I also tell all of the pharmaceutical representatives I meet to read this book as well. What an eye opener!

The book is well-written and the author has a distinctive voice. He does an excellent job explaining medical and pharmaceutical industry practices to we laymen who have little, if any, prior knowledge. Although at times I felt like he relied on personal anecdotes slightly too often, and I wish some of these more extraordinary anecdotes had some secondary source to back the claims up, the author's message is clearly defined and supported: as we continue to treat the health care industry as a free-market, profit-driven business, ethics and best practices fall by the way side, and both doctors and patients suffer.

Teaches you a great deal about the pharmaceutical industry, things that you can use for good or for evil. A little biased, but what isn't?

 There are 60 architectural images in this second volume of Architectural Art from Penny Farthing. Once again, there is a variety of building types. What is different this time is that there are fewer older European style homes and instead there are a number of Asian homes and churches. There are a number of modern designs and even a very geometric design of a building in the girder stage. The designs range from open and easy to color to more intricate with a little more challenge.I find coloring architectural designs to be vastly different from my usual flowers, animals, and folk art. Every once in a while, it is great to pull out something so beautifully graphic and just spend time coloring the building the way I would want it to look. It almost feels like a palate-cleansing coloring experience that lets me try something so out of my norm. I also own the first book in this series and enjoyed it so well, I bought this one as soon as it was made available.I own a few books by Penny Farthing Graphics. They are published via CreateSpace which is generally used for self-publishing. The designs are drawn by a variety of artists from all over the world and are licensed via Shutterstock.com (which seems to be a front-runner in design licensing). What we end up with is a great coloring book (although on thin paper) with a large and varied selection of designs.The pages are printed on thin white paper which is not perforated which is typical of books published by CreateSpace. The designs are printed on one side of the page with the back left blank. The designs stop well short of the glued binding and can easily be removed with a pen knife if you so choose.My gel pens and markers all leaked through this paper. My coloring pencils went on well but left a shadow at the back of the page, too. Not a problem, though, as I can put a piece of chipboard or a couple of heavy weight pieces of paper under the page I am working on to keep the ink from leaking through.These are the coloring medium that I use for testing. If there is something else you feel I should be testing, please let me know and I will see if I can add it to my growing pile:Markers: 1) alcohol-based – Copic Sketch, Prismacolor double ended markers (brush and fine point), Sharpies (fine and ultra-fine) and 2) water-based – Tombows dual end markers (brush and fine point), Stabilo 88, Staedler triplus fineliners, and Pentel markersGel Pens: Sakura, Fiskars, Uni-ball Signo 0.38/0.28 and TekwriterColoring Pencils: Prismacolor Premier Soft Core, Derwent Colorsoft, Prismacolor Verithins, and Faber-Castel Polychromos

AaI am a theatrical designer and I wish I could have had this in college. The things I like about this book are, the shapes are simplified so you can appreaciaate The shapes of the buildings, and they are single sided. I like the book so much that I have purchased both volumes.

Awful!!! Looks like a design student drew these in a computer. On most images the windows of the buildings are blocked with lines that should have been trimmed out ( I know I work on a computer aided design program).If I had seen the images before I purchased I NEVER would have purchased this. What a waste of money

This was a letdown and did not have wonderfully detailed drawings throughout.

Most books of this nature tend to be on the side of sensationalism, little green (or grey) men and the like. Not so with Keep Out! This is a well written book that speaks to the Philadelphia Experiment, the Montauk Project, UFO's and the like. Being a believer in many things we cannot see, I have read many books on these subjects. However, this is the first book that I have read that treats these topics and more in a straightforward, scholarly fashion.It is like a documentary on paper. Read this one whether you believe or not - it's a winner!

Poorly researched and written. The book is a joke, in the full pejorative sense. Review asks for six more words (done).

Love this book from Nick Redfern! Recommend his work for anyone interested in the UFO and/or conspiracy phenomenon. He is up there with the late, great Jim Marrs!

I know that some of us are nieve to think that goverments around the world are not willing to discuss what is really going on at these sites that are right there for all to see. If you think for a moment that this can not be possible, think again. Nick Redlem has only brought to the public the sites and sounds of people who have experienced unusual occurrences to light. I have always felt that there are such facilities that are doing unimaginable things. It's a sobering thought to know that someone else is questioning what's going on. "We are not alone" is an understatement. In this galaxy and beyond, there has to be other lfe forms out there. I do not believe that we are the only ones. They may be visiting us now or maybe in the past. We may never know for sure but this I am sure of, "Big Brother" is watching everything.

This book is not what I expected. The tone is inconsistent, partly factual and sometimes downplaying mythical and fantastic stories while other times sensationalizing them and seemingly suggesting they're possibly (or even likely) true. If you listen to Art Bell and believe everything his guests have to say you'll probably love this book. If you are more of a fact-based thinker it will probably be a disappointment.
